Verse 1:

I can’t tell time
It won’t do what I say
I try to take control of time
But time always gets its own way

Time waits for no one
So goes the old cliche
But if you wait until the time’s just right
You can watch time slip away

Chorus 1:

I’ve heard it said by people who know that
Only time will tell
But time don't say a single thing
I suppose that’s just as well

Verse 2:

I can't trust time
It seems to come and go
And where it went when it's gone
I swear that I don't know

More and more and On and On
I watch time dissapear
Into itself or something else
It leaves me waiting here

Chorus 2:

The universe is particular
About the time it will allow
The only time it does approve
Is the moment happening now

Verse 3:

I can't save time
It doesn't want to last
It's here for such a little while
And then becomes the past

The past can't be saved
It not really here at all
No more than the future is
As best as I recall

That's universally true that
Three O'clock is too early or late for

Time fills all the spaces

In a weird but timely way
