I'm not a performer, a singer, a musician, an arranger, a producer. I'm just not. I do what I can but I dream about what it might be like to work with someone who could do the things I can't do, which is most of it. Wouldn't it be great to have a collaborator?

Verse 1:
Last night I had a dream
I dreamt about a beautiful song
The words were deeply moving
And the melody was strong
I got up right away
I picked up my guitar
I tried to compose my dream
But I didn't get very far

Verse 2:
The notes I played were nothing like
The melody in my dream
And the words came out as doggerel
If you know what I mean
This sort of thing happens all the time
When I get a song in my head
I tried to write that song for a while
Then I got back into bed
